And I am back in Bangor! Christopher and I went home for the
holidays. It was wonderful to be able to see our families and to relax from
work and school. Here are some pictures from our Christmas vacation.

When I was younger I used to think New Year resolutions were
just silly. What made January 1st any different from December 31st?
As I have gotten older I have not interpreted New Year’s Eve to mean a chance
to refocus one’s life. Without further ado here are my New Year’s Resolutions:
- Stay Active: This is not out of a desire to lose weight or become a body builder. Temperatures the last two weeks have been below freezing (and sometimes below zero) here in Maine. When the temperatures drop the last thing you want to do is go outside. There is also very little daylight at the moment. My goal is to work out at least twice a week and take a few walks. This will keep me in shape and ward off any seasonal depression.
- Get Out and Explore: One of my issues last semester was that I only left Bangor twice. Only twice. Christopher and I are still New England noobs and I want to explore everything this side of the country has to offer.
- Cook at home more and with recipes I have never tried before: When Christopher and I get busy all of our dinner plans go out the window. My goal is to create more plans and to stick to them. I also want to learn to bake and cook recipes I have never tried before. My goal is to cook one new recipe a month.
- Start my Thesis: This is kind of a given, but I really need to start this sucker.
What are your resolutions?
Are you two going to be here over the summer? 'Cause if so we should go to Bar Harbor. I LOVE that place! :p
ReplyDeleteWe will probably be here until the beginning of June and then come back at the end of July
