Adventures in Bucksport

This past weekend was just awesome. It was filled with GNO's, the farmer's markets, yard sales, gardening and picnics. Christopher and I also snuck a day trip in the middle of such a busy weekend.

We had visited Bucksport before, but only during the winter when everything was closed. It was really neat to be able to visit it again in the spring! I will not go into too much detail here, but if you would like more information you can check out my post from last winter or this website.

The view from the Penobscot Narrows Observatory was simply gorgeous. You could see for miles.

It was great to be able to explore the Fort Knox inside and out! The fort is like an adult playground where you can examine every nook and cranny.

We ended the trip with a visit to the supposedly cursed Buck Memorial and a moment of quiet at the POW and MIA memorial.

It was a wonderful weekend and I am excited to go exploring again soon!
