One begins to immediately spot advertisements for Wall Drug within
just a few miles of the South Dakota and Minnesota border. Wall Drug Store was
founded in 1931 by the Hustead family. It is essentially a western-themed
shopping mall about an hour and a half away from Mount Rushmore. It attracts travelers
by promising free ice water and 5 cent coffee through their hundreds and
hundreds of billboards. There is also nothing around it for hundreds and HUNDREDS
of miles.
